With the growing rise in the hotel industry, the operations are efficiently increased, like banquets, Room booking and reservation, Hotel Management ERP, laundry, customer service, and much more. This made, so hectic schedule of every day in Ranks Guest House, the beautiful hotel in Botswana.
So, having an ERP partner of their own who used to manage their website presence using WordPress suggested them this time to try Odoo as its all-in-one ERP software to handle all their operations.
After a long research, they came across through Jupical’s Hotel management solution and found the potential with us that could resolve their problems, Demo was held in June 2023 and had a kick-start with the following month

Challenges the client faced
- Customers were struggling to use the existing online booking system, leading to missed opportunities and potential revenue loss.
- The outdated design did not reflect the hotel’s image and offerings, hindering their ability to compete effectively in the market.
- The absence of DPO payment integration, the preferred method for customers in Botswana, limited potential bookings and revenue from this important market segment.
- Managing room availability, reservations, and accounting data was a cumbersome and time-consuming process due to the absence of a dedicated backend system.
- The existing accounting system was not optimized for the hotel’s specific needs, making it difficult to track financial performance and generate accurate reports.
Solution Proposed
- First solution proposed to client was to purchase our add-on of Hotel management as it solved much of their issues like online booking, multi-feature website, restaurant orders.
- Second thing was to integrate POs with the folio to avoid again and again payments of multiple activities,
- An amazing real time info dashboard to be generated in which shows availability of rooms and real time data of rooms
- A check-out policy to be generated to avoid conflict for online reservation.
- Integrate DPO payment with the website while checking out.

Responsive design website
Custom website was designed with complete responsiveness, user’s choice color theme and fully customized with no code.
Room integration to website
Real time data of rooms from backend were integrated on the website with their availability and features along with amenities provided
POS
POS integration with customer Folio to record the activities of customer throughout his hotel journey to bill everything once
Accounting
Automated accounting configured with all journal entries from creation of hotel reservation check in to check out with all the payments and charges paid by customer.
Multi-Currency
The software supported multi currency, and we specially customized our add-ons supporting Botswana currency.
Integration of DPO payment
Although the software supported online payment integration, specifically Botswana’s most used DPO payment was integrated for client online payment.
